Pope Benedict XVI officially retires tomorrow and when he does many things will have to change.He is the first pope to retire in 600 years, so new rules have had to be drawn up for him.Vatican officials have announced the Pope will change his name, his wardrobe and where he lives.And after he retires tomorrow at 8pm he will no longer tweet under his @Pontifex username.

New name for the Pope

Pope Benedict XVI will be known as “pope emeritus” when he retires. A Vatican official says he will take on the new name but will still be referred to as ‘His Holiness’.’Emeritus’ is a title used for people who have retired from an important job.They also said he will still be known as Benedict XVI, instead of his birth name which is Joseph Ratzinger.
